New Concept Art for ‘The Accidental Immortal’

Hi Reader,

I have something beautiful to share today. It is a brand-new piece of concept art for my book Honeyed Myths, made by the amazing Puka Muriska.

It shows The Accidental Immortal with Dodie and Tao standing on a bridge made entirely of hummingbirds. It is one of those magical moments from the story where everything feels still and full of possibility.

This scene was inspired by one of my favorite Chinese fairytales, The Weaver and the Cowherd. In that story, a bridge of magpies reunites two lovers once a year. In Honeyed Myths, that idea takes on a new shape, though I can’t yet reveal how.

Puka Muriska captured this scene exactly the way I imagined it. It is full of color, movement, and a little bit of magic. They were amazing to work with and I cannot recommend them enough! You can check out more of their work at puka-muriska.neocities.org.
